Mehrab Mandi Yemeni Restaurant

Mehrab is one of the very few places in Kerala that serves truly authentic Arab-style rice dishes. The quality is evident in every bite. Completely different from the usual mandi spots, Mehrab delivers an unmistakably authentic taste. The service is top-notch as well.

I recently visited this restaurant and tried their Beef Mandi, Chicken Mehrab, and Mutton Haneed, and I must say, all three dishes were equally delicious and full of rich, authentic flavors. The Beef Mandi was tender, juicy, and cooked to perfection with just the right blend of spices. The Chicken Mehrab stood out with its smoky aroma and flavorful marination, while the Mutton Haneed was incredibly soft, falling apart with every bite, and had a wonderful balance of seasoning. Each dish had its own charm, and you could really feel the care and effort that went into preparing them. The location is easy to find and adds to the restaurant’s overall appeal. The ambiance is comfortable and inviting, perfect for both families and groups of friends. The highlight for me, though, was the majilis seating area — it gave such a cozy, traditional touch to the entire dining experience. Sitting there, enjoying those amazing dishes, felt like a little escape into Arabian hospitality. From the warm service to the quality of the food and the beautiful setup, everything was top-notch. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to enjoy authentic Arabic cuisine. It’s a restaurant worth visiting again for its flavor, atmosphere, and memorable experience.

The mandi was really nice with that authentic Yemeni touch — flavorful rice and tender meat. The food was great, but they seemed a bit rushed, so it took some time to serve. Still worth the wait for the taste!

A completely different experience of Mandhi. It's a Yemeni restaurant and provides Mandhi in its real style. The rice is different from what we have had as Mandhi. The chicken flavor is also nice, and there are many chutney salads for the course. NB: Don't expect mayonnaise as it's not provided with real Yemeni Mandhi.

Had an awesome experience at Mehrab Mandi Yemeni Restaurant. The food was superb and full of authentic flavor, especially the mandi, which was very well prepared. The ambience and overall dining experience were excellent. The service was also good and welcoming, making the visit very enjoyable. Parking is a matter. Overall, a great place for Yemeni cuisine and definitely deserves a 5-star rating.

Last day I visited Mehrab Mandhi and had their Mehrab Chicken, and it was absolutely worth it. The chicken was very juicy and soft, cooked perfectly, and the rice was extremely flavourful. The whole menu is Arabic-style. One full portion is enough for 4 people. The food presentation was good, and overall quality was excellent. The ambience is also good. There are both table and majlis sitting. Highly recommended for anyone who loves Arabic cuisine or wants to try something rich and flavourful. Definitely a place I’d visit again.

Had a really satisfying experience at this mandhi spot recently. We ordered ahead, so there was no rush and the whole dining experience felt very relaxed and comfortable. We tried their Chicken Haneed Mandhi, and it was genuinely impressive. The rice was full of flavours and very well cooked — each grain was separate, aromatic, and perfectly balanced. The chicken was juicy, cooked really well, and maintained its soft texture throughout. You could clearly feel the traditional style in the preparation. As a starter, they served a soup, which was a nice touch and tasted good. After the meal, they offered a small glass of Sulaimani, and it was really well made — light, refreshing, and the perfect way to finish the mandhi. One thing I appreciated is that they follow traditional Yemeni style. They don’t serve mayo here, which actually makes sense because authentic Yemeni mandhi is usually paired with chutney instead of mayonnaise. That traditional touch adds to the overall experience. They offer both regular table dining and old Arabic traditional majlis-style seating, which gives you an authentic vibe depending on how you prefer to dine. Parking space is available, and since there was no heavy crowd during our visit, everything felt smooth and well managed. Overall, a great place if you’re looking for flavorful, authentic Chicken Haneed Mandhi with a calm dining atmosphere and traditional touch. Definitely worth visiting again.
